Join us for a relaxed and friendly singles evening for ages 50+, focused on conversation, connection and a comfortable atmosphere. Perfect whether you’re easing yourself back into dating, meeting new people, or just enjoying a sociable night out with others who “get it.”

There’s no pressure, no awkward games, no expectations — just genuine conversations in a warm, welcoming setting.

This isn’t a formal event – we have exclusive use of the upstairs event room at The Ladybird Inn, giving us our own relaxed, private space to chat, mingle and get to know each other.

Grab your drink from the bar downstairs, head upstairs and just be yourself – then let the conversation flow.

No problem! Simply select RESERVE NOW – Pay on the Night when choosing your ticket. There’s nothing to pay when you reserve — just pay £10 when you arrive.

By reserving your place, I’ll know you’re planning to come and I’ll also be able to contact you if there are any last-minute changes to the event.

The First-Time Free ticket is only valid for new attendees. If you select this ticket but have previously attended or booked an event, you will be required to pay £10.00 on the door.

Please note:

Singles industry statistics show that more women tend to attend singles events than men. These are social evenings, not speed dating—so come with an open heart and enjoy the evening for what it is: a relaxed, easy way to meet likeminded people.

If you’re enjoying the evening and want to stay longer, you’re more than welcome to do so—the space is yours to enjoy.

A gentle note about bringing a friend… If it’s your first time and you’d like to bring a friend along for moral support, that’s absolutely fine — we completely understand that walking into a singles event can feel daunting.

However, to keep the atmosphere comfortable for everyone, your friend (if they’re not single) will need to sit outside the singles area.

Why? Because the whole purpose of these events is to create a space where everyone feels comfortable chatting, knowing the room is full of other singles. In the past, support friends (understandably!) came across a little guarded when approached, and it shifted the energy in the room.

You’re welcome to walk in together and settle your nerves, but after those first few minutes, they can relax nearby while you enjoy meeting new people.

🅿️ Accessibility: The event is on the first floor of The Ladybird Inn there is parking at the Ladybird but please enter your registration no. into the digital terminal at the bar to avoid a fine, otherwise at the bottom of New Road there is a 2 hour free car park on the left.
